The Surrogates

A powerful corporation creates an innovative service: the surrogates, human substitutes capable of performing essential tasks on behalf of their clients. They can exercise, sleep, and eat for people who, due to physical or psychological limitations, are unable to do so themselves. What begins as a medical lifeline becomes a luxury for the wealthy, who now outsource even their most basic human needs. Cory, an employee of the company, believes he is helping to improve lives. But when his sister, who also works for the corporation, dies under suspicious circumstances, he begins to suspect that the surrogate technology hides dark secrets.
